If you are going on a trip, it is very important to be aware of the rules applicable to hand luggage, and what is allowed to bring with you on board the aircraft.

Allowed on board

You may bring on board the aircraft liquid, gel and spray in containers of maximum 100 ml (1 dl).

Travel to or from EU

Some airports outside the EU have special rules for liquids and cosmetics when transferring. If you do not know these rules, the products you purchased in a taxfree shop after passing the security check, will be confiscated.

Are you traveling to USA with a transfer there, eg Stockholm Arlanda - Chicago - Minneapolis, then it is forbidden to bring liquids on board that you purchased in the duty free shops located after security checkpoint.

You should also be aware of that countries are starting to gradually introduce restrictions on liquids in hand luggage which may be different compared to those of the EU. Always check with your travel agent to be informed what rules apply to you.

Baggage submitted for check-in is not affected by the rules, therefore, it may be a good idea to pack liquid products in baggage that you submit in order to not risk having your products confiscated at the airport.
